TRAC multi use trail Launceston to Egloskerry

Preston Engineering Survey were instructed by Cornwall Council to carry out topographical survey work along the route of the proposed multi use trail between Launceston and Egloskerry. This work, completed over several sections at different times, involved surveying through farmland along the River Kensey valley and the the route of the old railway track bed. Detailed survey was required at the various proposed river crossing points that included taking river bed levels, bank details and providing cross sections so that hydraulic modelling could be carried out. In total, approximately 6km of survey has been undertaken.

The images below show the section between Launceston and Newmills.
