PRESTON ENGINEERING SURVEY LTD
Devonport Guildhall

Devonport Guildhall was designed by architect John Foulston in 1821 and was once the civic heart of Devonport. The building survived the destruction of World War 2 but was surrounded by residential development between 1950s – 1970s. Now, as part of a wider scheme to regenerate Devonport, the Guildhall is to be refurbished, creating a cultural hub.

Preston Engineering Survey Ltd were instructed to carry out a full measured building survey of the Guildhall to produce floor plans, elevations and cross sections. The architect also required details of interior wall finishes, ornate plasterwork, and cornices etc all of which were recorded as part of the survey.
